Defense Secretary Jim Mattis is giving military chiefs another six months to go back over whether transgender individuals should be able to enlist in the military.
They are looking at whether it will affect the “readiness or lethality” of our military force.
Mattis made the decision on Friday and said that a delay in the “readiness or lethality” of the force.
“After consulting with the service chiefs and secretaries, I have determined that it is necessary to defer the start of accessions for six months,” Mattis said, according to The Associated Press. “We will use this additional time to evaluate more carefully the impact of such accessions on readiness and lethality.”
Liberals are losing it now that transgender can’t get into the military. Here is what Stephen Peters, Human Rights Campaign spokesman, said, “Each day that passes without the policy in place restricts the armed forces’ ability to recruit the best and the brightest, regardless of gender identity.”
Jerry Boykin, a retired Army lieutenant general and executive vice president of the Family Research Council said that it is the right decision: “The Pentagon is right to hit the brakes on a policy that will fail to make our military more capable in performing its mission to fight and win wars.”

The military isn’t a plaything for social justice warriors. It is a formidable destructive force. Amen. (h/t NY Daily News)
